CLYDE FRAZIER JR. SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE

The Friends of Frederick E. Samuel Foundation provides educational services year round for the youth in Harlem. The Educational Consultant seeks relationships with neighborhood schools and works with them to improve the academic standing of each child performing poorly in school. The Foundation provides individual tutoring based on specific needs determined by their teachers and parents, homework help and SAT preparation.

The Foundation's after school program, named the "Clyde Frazier Jr. School of Excellence", housed in The Friends of Frederick E. Samuel Community Center, has grown substantially. Enrollment has increased 90% since last year at this time. Activities include both an after school and a summer school, both emphasize learning and success.
